Steve Cowles - Director of OperationsPersonal statementHaving worked on Wireline equipment for some 30 plus years I have gained extensive knowledge in what is required by our customers to keep them working in the field. Every care and attention is taken to keep downtime to a minimum and production high. During my career I have overseen the design and building of Winch units, Power capstans, logging masts and all associated equipment required within this industry, including the hydraulic closed loop systems, choosing the correct prime mover, pumps and control systems. I have been involved in all aspects of certification that are undertaken including Zone, Atex and U/L. DNV 2.7-1 and 2. I am also a coded welder in solid and cored wire from my earlier years in the workshop, so my knowledge of the fabrication world is extensive. I have over 30 years’ experience in building this type of equipment, starting in the workshops and moving up into my current position as Director of Operations.
Steve Wilson - Technical DirectorPersonal statementI am a Senior Design, Project Engineer and Electrical & Instrumentation engineer and Manager, with experience covering over 20 years’ across the Oil & Gas, Renewable energy, Marine and Process automation sectors. During this time I have produced technical and commercial documents for tenders, analysed project scopes in a professional and thorough manner and then run them to their successful completion. I have an eye for figures, managing project budgets and resources including suppliers and sub-contractors negotiations. I have an excellent understanding of all aspects of certification that are undertaken including Atex, U/L class and division and DNV 2.7-1 and 2. For the last 6+ years I have been responsible for the continued development of electrical control systems and associated software controlling Wireline winches, Capstans and Masts. I have also been able to put to good use the extensive experience gained as a service engineer of 10+ years in the PLC and process control sectors during my early career.
